FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1. What is the duration of my appointment?

For new patients – 1 hour

For established patients – 20 Minutes

The length of appointment can vary based upon your individualized treatment plan

2. How much will my appointment cost?

For new patients - $350

For established patients - $150

3. Are insurance plans accepted?

We are currently accepting:

  • BlueCross/BlueShield

  • Aetna

  • TriCare

  • Optum

  • CIGNA

  • Anthem

  • Humana

  • We are currently being credentialed with other carriers, if your insurance is not listed, please check with our office to verify.

4. Are there fees for cancelled or missed appointments?

We understand there are unforeseen circumstances. If you are unable to keep your appointment, please be sure to provide a notice of 24 business hours before your scheduled appointment time. The fee for missed appointments and late cancellations is $100. Patients presenting 15 or more minutes after a scheduled appointment time, will be rescheduled, and charged a $50 fee. A continued pattern of cancelled and or late appointments can result in dismissal. All patients must have a credit card on file to be used for late and missed appointments.

5. When will I get my prescriptions?

Prescriptions will be written during your visit and sent electronically to your preferred pharmacy on file. Ideally, medications will only be ordered at the time of your visit. Please be sure to schedule follow-up appointments prior to running out of medication. In the event medication is needed in between appointments, requests should be made via the patient portal. Refill requests can take up to 72 hours before being answered and will incur a $35 fee. Controlled substances can only be prescribed at the time of appointment. These medications must go through 2nd level review prior to being sent to the pharmacy. This could take 24-48 hours, however; it is usually done the same day.

6. How can I contact someone before or after my appointment?

The preferred method of communication for non-emergent concerns is via the patient portal. These requests are addressed within 24 hours unless it’s a weekend or a holiday. For psychiatric emergencies please call 911, Georgia crisis line 800-715-4225, or The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline 800-273-8255. Go to nearest ER or call 911 for any new onset of bizarre behavior, serious allergic reaction, or adverse event.

7. What age groups are served?

Ages 6 – 65

8. About Prescriptions

No prescriptions for ongoing Benzodiazepines will be written. This includes the following medications: Alprazolam (Xanax), Clonazepam (Klonopin), Lorazepam (Ativan).

9. About Stimulants

Those patients prescribed stimulants (Concerta, Adderall, Vyvanse, Focalin), medication will be ordered at time of visit ONLY. Urinalysis will be required prior to first prescription and randomly.

10. Other

The services offered by our providers are limited to medication management only. We are unable to complete Disability, FMLA, Workman's Comp forms, or Insurance forms.
